Tal Cohen's Bookshelf: A Collection of Personal Opinions about Books

i agree entirely
this is exactly what i was thinking about. the fact that they are kids. even though they are described as possesing extremely intelligent and adaptable minds, their capabilities seem extraordinary in the light of the fact that no matter how brilliant they may be they lack the basic thing that makes all people intelligent and adaptable in the first place : experience. life experience. i for one have abandoned the idea of picturing them as 11 year olds and tried to imagine 18-19 year olds instead. oh yes and the part where india and pakistan made peace after a 5 minute chat also annoyed me terribly and seriously decreased my willingness to believe that any of Card's fantasy world rearrangement schemes could EVER be possible. (not that it was high in the first place),
